So after living in our home for 6 years we finally decided to get rid of our carpet and refinish the hardwood floor that was hiding underneath. 
We never imagined they would be in such great shape. I love them!!
Why would anyone cover them. Of course, it was probably done in the 70's.

That looks great! We want to pull up the carpet in our house too and put wood floors throughout the whole upstairs.
I love the "new" look with the hardwood floors! Gotta love hardwood floors! AND, I really like your couch and loveseat too! Nice lookin' room!
